In short: You can use this site and its calculator free of charge for your own business decisions. Don't copy our content wholesale, misuse the site or rely on it as professional advice. If something goes wrong, our liability is limited as far as the law allows. Scots law applies.

By using the site you agree to these terms, our disclaimer and our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. If you use the site on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it.

What the site is for

The site provides free general information to help apparel businesses think through the costs of DTF printing. It is not professional advice; please read the disclaimer. We don’t sell products and are not party to any purchase you make from a seller we link to.

Using the site

You may view, print and share links to pages for your own personal or internal business use. You must not:

  • copy, republish, sell or redistribute our content, calculator or design, in whole or substantial part, without written permission (short quotes with a link back are fine; see copyright);
  • scrape, harvest or bulk-download content, or use automated systems to access the site in a way that puts unreasonable load on it;
  • use our content to train machine-learning or AI models, or to build a competing product, without written permission;
  • try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers or any connected system, or introduce viruses or other harmful code;
  • frame the site or present our content as your own or as endorsed by us;
  • use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.

The calculator

The calculator runs in your browser. Results depend on the numbers you enter and on a simplified model described on the calculator page. You are responsible for the inputs you use and for any decision you make. If you share a link to your results, anyone with that link can see the numbers in it.

Availability

The site is provided free and “as is”. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice. We don’t guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or viruses. Use your own virus protection.

Links to other sites

Links to third-party websites are for convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices. Your dealings with any seller are solely between you and that seller. Some links are affiliate links; see our affiliate disclosure.

You may link to our home page or any article, provided you do it fairly and lawfully, don’t suggest any association or endorsement that doesn’t exist, and don’t damage our reputation.

Intellectual property

We, or our licensors, own all copyright and other intellectual property in the site, its text, diagrams, calculator, code and design. Product and company names mentioned belong to their owners. Full details are on our copyright and trademarks page.

No warranties

As far as the law allows, we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations, express or implied, about the site and its content. That includes any implied warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

Our liability to you

What we do not exclude. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you. If you are a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.

If you use the site for business (which most visitors do), then, subject to the paragraph above:

  • we are not liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, delict or tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site or its content;
  • in particular, we are not liable for loss of profits, sales, business, revenue or anticipated savings; business interruption; loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; equipment damage or repair costs; or any indirect or consequential loss;
  • if we are found liable despite this, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to £100 (or the equivalent in US dollars).

If you are a consumer, we only provide the site for domestic and private use. We are not liable for any loss of profit, business, business interruption or business opportunity. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

Your responsibility to us

If you breach these terms or misuse the site, you agree to cover any reasonable losses, costs (including reasonable legal fees) and claims we incur as a direct result, as far as the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you use the site applies. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

General

  • Severability. If a court decides any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • No waiver. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Entire agreement. These terms, together with the pages they link to, are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of the site.
  • Third parties. No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.

Which law applies

These terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom or in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
